How PackDraw Works: The Full Canadian Breakdown
PackDraw is simple once you have opened one pack. This guide walks through the whole loop, from your first CAD deposit to the item showing up at your door, and explains the parts most new players get wrong.
The five steps
- 1
Create an account and deposit in CAD
Sign up on PackDraw.com with an email address. Open the deposit screen, switch the currency to CAD, and pay by card or crypto. There is no minimum. Enter the promo code before you confirm to get 5% extra credits.
- 2
Pick a pack and read the odds
Browse packs by price or category. Every pack page lists each item it can contain, what that item is worth, and your exact percentage chance of pulling it. Nothing is hidden, so read the odds before you buy.
- 3
Open it and watch the reveal
Click Open. The result is already locked in by a provably fair seed before the animation plays. One item from the list drops into your inventory.
- 4
Ship it or sell it back
From your inventory, request free shipping to your Canadian address, or sell the item back for credits at its listed value. Credits can go straight into more packs.
- 5
Try Battles and daily rewards
Battles put you against other players opening the same packs, with the highest total value taking everything. Daily rewards and rakeback give regular players extra credits.
Step 1 in detail: depositing from Canada
The deposit screen defaults to USD for some accounts. Change it to CAD before you type an amount so your card is charged in Canadian dollars with no foreign transaction fee. Visa and Mastercard both work, and crypto is available if you would rather not put a card on the site. Credits land instantly.
Enter WAGER in the promo or referral field before you confirm. The site adds 5% to the deposit, so $50 becomes $52.50 in credits. The code works on every deposit, and you can compare all working codes here.
Step 2 in detail: reading a pack page
A pack page shows three things: the price, the full list of items, and the odds on each one. The odds are percentages that add up to 100. A $25 sneaker pack might show a 1.5% chance at $600 Jordans, 10% at $150 runners, and 88.5% at items worth under $25. Those numbers are the whole story. Learn to read them and you will never be surprised by a result.
Packs are grouped into tiers. Budget packs under $10 are mostly gift cards and accessories. The $10 to $100 range is the biggest selection, with sneakers, headphones and gaming gear. Above $100 you get consoles, laptops and designer items, and the luxury tier above $1,000 is watches and headline prizes. Higher tiers are not better value, just swingier.
Step 3 in detail: the opening and provably fair
The animation is for show. The result is decided the instant you click Open, by combining a server seed PackDraw committed to in advance with a client seed from your account. The server seed's hash is published before you play, so PackDraw cannot swap it afterwards, and the result is written to the EOS blockchain.
To check an opening, go to your history, copy the server seed, client seed and nonce, and paste them into the verifier at packdraw.com/fairness. The output should match the item you received. Most players check once, see that it works, and move on.
Step 4 in detail: ship or sell back
Every item you win sits in your inventory until you decide what to do with it. Shipping to a Canadian address is free and tracked, and most deliveries take 5 to 10 business days. Selling back is instant and credits you the item's listed value, which you can spend on more packs or withdraw.
The rule of thumb: sell back the small stuff, ship the big stuff. The listed value on a $15 item is usually close to what it would cost you anyway, so credits are more useful. For sneakers, consoles and anything in the luxury tier, the item is worth more in your hands than as credits. Full withdrawals guide.
Step 5 in detail: Battles and rewards
Battles are PackDraw's competitive mode. You join or create a battle, everyone opens the same set of packs at the same time, and the player with the highest total value takes every item from every player. It is the most exciting thing on the site and also the fastest way to lose a budget, so start with cheap packs.
Daily rewards and rakeback give regular players free credits on a schedule. They are small, but they are free, so claim them. Combined with the 5% deposit bonus they take a noticeable chunk off the house edge over a month of play.
What new Canadian players get wrong
- Not switching to CAD. Leaving the deposit in USD costs you a conversion fee on every top-up.
- Skipping the odds. The price tells you nothing. The odds tell you everything.
- Chasing with Battles. Battles are the highest-variance mode. Treat them as the dessert, not the meal.
- Expecting profit. Packs cost more than the average value inside. Set a limit before you start, and keep it.
Common questions
How much does a PackDraw pack cost?
Packs start around $1 and run past $10,000 for the luxury tier. Most of the catalogue sits between $10 and $100.
Do you always get something from a pack?
Yes. Every pack contains an item from its published list. The question is which one, and the odds tell you that before you open.
How does provably fair work on PackDraw?
PackDraw hashes a server seed before you open, mixes in your client seed, and records the result on the EOS blockchain. After the seed is revealed you can re-run the calculation on packdraw.com/fairness to confirm the outcome was not altered.
What is a Pack Battle?
Two or more players open the same packs at the same time. Whoever ends with the highest total item value wins every item from the battle. It is the highest-variance mode on the site.
Can I use the promo code on every deposit?
Yes. WAGER gives 5% bonus credits on every deposit, not just the first one, and it does not expire.
